I am based in the Bahamian capital city Nassau. I am originally from the beautiful Island of Eleuthera. Growing up on a family island I spent lots of time outdoors. So I love working outdoors.
I never planned on a career in photography as a youngster. I attained a degree in Mathematics (Yep I’m a bit of a geek) at The University of The Bahamas. I planned on furthering my studies abroad in mechanical engineering. While applying to Universities in the US, I got a summer job doing photography. It must still be summer because I am still shooting and loving it!
The bulk of my work has been directed towards Destination Weddings, Events and Portrait photography. I’ve shot well over 600 destination weddings. And provided event photography to various local and international clients. I also provide Real Estate Photography.
One of the things that separates me from most other photographers is my varied photography experience. This greatly enhances my ability to shoot in any situation. I’ve done many different types of photography over the years. I’ve done studio, Live Production Events, Sporting Events, commercial, even aerials, hanging out the side of an airplane (Before drones were a thing. I have a drone now though lol).
For weddings and portraits I’m primarily a natural light photographer, but I do use artificial lighting when needed. I strive to create outstanding images. I want my clients to have beautiful images that have a timeless style, images that are a true reflection of their vision and personalities.
I encourage clients to relax, have fun and be themselves during sessions. I shoot with energy. I’m constantly looking for some creative angle and most importantly provide top notch service with a smile.
I am a proud member of the PPA (Professional Photographers of America). I am also a member of the exclusive peer reviewed ISPWP (The International Society of Professional Wedding Photographers). This association is a merit only association of professional wedding photographers. Their requirements are ‘experience, talent and professionalism’. Membership cannot be purchased. Admission requires references from professional photographers that have worked with you, a minimum of 50 weddings photographed, a review of your work and finally a vote by current ISPWP members. I am one of only two Bahamian Photographers apart of the ISPWP.
