Michael & Elizabeth had their British Colonial Hilton Wedding on a beautiful afternoon in the fall. The British Colonial Hilton is one of the most recognized landmarks in Downtown Nassau Bahamas. It was originally built in 1923 on the old site of Fort Nassau. This fortification was built in 1697 and stood for almost 200 years. The Hilton is the largest AAA four-diamond hotel in downtown Nassau and has the only private beach in the Downtown area. Along with it’s unique Colonial Charm, the hotel has well manicured lawns, great views of Nassau Harbour and a grand staircase in the main lobby. All of those things make it great for wedding photography.
The wedding ceremony was held on the Lawn at the rear of the hotel. The sky was blue and the sunny was shinning. The ceremony we captured formal group photos near the lush greenery behind the hotel’s main lobby area. Another great thign I love about this property is, even at mid day when it tends to very sunny I was able to find ample shade to capture great formal photos.
The wedding reception was also held out doors. The tall trees provided gentle shade for the newlyweds and their guests to enjoy the wonderful celebration.
